Professor Testelin performed her medical studies at the University of Lille and graduated in 1986. She did her residency in general surgery and maxillofacial surgery in the University Department of Amiens, France. She had been trained in plastic surgery (Hospital Foch, Paris, France) and followed postgraduate training in maxillofacial surgery in the University of Nantes (Professor Mercier) and the University of Zurich (Professor Sailer).
