Mr. Brent Tanner MA, FRCS
Mr.
Brent
Tanner has worked as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon since
1984. First and foremost, his work has been at the
Queen Victoria Hospital
in East Grinstead, where he was Director of the Burns Unit. The Queen
Victoria Hospital was developed during the Second World War to treat the
horrific burns of pilots shot down by enemy fire and has become renowned
throughout the word for its excellent plastic surgery unit.
Mr. Tanner trained at Cambridge University and St. Thomas' Hospital in London before going on to hold junior posts at The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, The Birmingham Accident Hospital, The Royal Marsden Hospital in London and Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow. For the last nine years he has held the post of Honorary Consultant at the Queen Victoria Hospital and devotes himself entirely to Cosmetic Surgery.
Mr. Tanner is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, a member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) where he has also been a member of the council. He regularly attends international meetings in Dubai, British Virgin Islands, Rome, Nice, USA and Singapore, giving lectures and pursuing new techniques and innovations. He also gives many lectures all around the UK and mentors young consultants.
