Apostolos D. Mandrekas MD, PhD
Dr. Mandrekas studied
Medicine at the Military Medical Academy-Medical School of the University of
Thessalonica, Greece. He received his PhD from the University of Athens.
After training in General Surgery in Athens he continued his training in
Plastic Surgery at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, UK, Queen Mary’s
Hospital, Roehamton, London, UK, Saint Thomas Hospital, London, UK. Since
1986 he has been the Founder and Director of the Plastic Surgery Clinic at
the Naval Hospital of Athens, Greece until 1995 when he retired as Captain
(reserved) and moved to private practice and now he is the Director of the
ARTION Plastic Surgery Center in Athens.
Dr. Mandrekas is the National Delegate of Greece for EBOPRAS and UEMS, founder member of the EPSW, member of the board of the Hellenic Society Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Vise President of the Hellenic Society of Mastology, Corresponding member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and member of many other national societies.
Dr. Mandrekas was Professor at the Military Nursing Academy and Visiting Professor at the Eastern Illinois Medical School, USA. He has published numerous scientific works in International and National Journals, he has published 3 books, and he has been invited speaker at International and National Meetings.
