Previous research interests relate to the characterization of hypertension in spontaneous hypertensive rats using a renal transplant model. My basic research field was transplantation, especially those problems related to liver, spleen and dental 'issues. Investigations with tooth grafts have included "In vitro" storage in deep freeze, hyperbaric oxygen and tissue culture environments, and the study of allograft rejection using inbred hamsters. Studies with hepatic grafts have been oriented toward tissue perfusion and the development of a rat model for liver transplantation. Splenic transplants were developed to assess possibility of immunosuppression and possible hemophilia.
